I have had my Master’s degree in counseling since 1995. I opened a private practice that same year in Aberdeen, Washington and provided a variety of mental health services through my counseling practice, Airhart Counseling, both in Aberdeen and Cosmopolis, until the end of 2005. I provided counseling for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. In addition to counseling, I taught parenting classes for DCFS and for the Juvenile Facility and provided supervision for parental visitations of children in foster care. I offered a variety of support groups in addition to counseling. I was licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2001. I received my certification in hypnotherapy in 1999. I completed a two year internship for hypnotherapy through The Wellness Institute and honed my skills as a hypnotherapist.

Beginning in 2003, I began offering meditation groups in addition to my traditional mental health services. I made my first meditation CD in 2003, “Embracing the Light Within”. This was a meditation to open the chakras. At the end of 2005, I moved to Los Angeles and then offered my services primarily as a metaphysical counselor and a hypnotherapist. I changed the name of my practice to “Healing from Within”. It was while living in Los Angeles that I made my second meditation and healing CD called “Healing Vibrations”. I left Los Angeles after one year and moved to Reno, Nevada. While living in Reno I opened an office at The Spiritual Element. During my years in Reno I offered metaphysical counseling for individual adults and couples, intuitive readings, an ongoing meditation group, a variety of metaphysical classes and hypnotherapy.

I moved back to Washington in 2009 to care for my mother. I continued offering mental health counseling with a small base of clientele. I began doing group therapy at the Northwest Indian Treatment Center in 2014. I now offer mental health counseling and metaphysical teaching on an individual basis. I offer hypnotherapy as well. I primarily offer services for adults and, on occasion, will work with someone who is 16 or older.

Counseling can be done in person or through telehealth sessions. Hypnotherapy can be done in person only. I do offer guided meditations through telehealth as part of a counseling session. Hypnotherapy and guided meditations are recorded and you will receive an MP3 file or a CD so that you can listen to the recording over and over. This is very beneficial.
